Fees

I’ve tried to make this page the opposite of every fee page that made me squint when I was the one shopping for a clinician. The numbers are here. So is the reasoning behind them.

Sessions with me are variable but structured — sixty to ninety minutes, depending on what the work needs that day. Pro-rated at SGD 300 per hour: 60 min = SGD 300 90 min = SGD 450. I also stagger thirty minutes between clients — partly so I can write notes and catch my breath, and partly so you never run into the person before or after you. The hour is the time I’ve found the work actually needs; the stagger is how I protect it.

Consultations and therapy

  • Free Meet & Greet: no charge. Fifteen minutes, by video. Enough time for me to hear what’s bringing you here and for both of us to get a sense of whether I’m the right fit — before either of us commits to anything. No paperwork, no pressure; most people book it first.
  • First consultation: SGD 600. Usually two hours — sometimes a little less if we’ve covered the ground. Long enough to hear the full story, not just the headline. My aim for this session is that you leave it having already learned something real about yourself — not just “here’s a form, here’s a follow-up.” If I’m the right person for what you’re bringing in, we’ll plan from there. If I’m not, you’ll leave with a clearer sense of who is, and you’ll have got clinical value from the time either way.
  • Standard session: pro-rated at SGD 300 per hour. 60 min = SGD 300 · 90 min = SGD 450.
  • Weekday evening (after 5pm): SGD 350 per hour. 60 min = SGD 350 · 90 min = SGD 525.
  • Saturday: SGD 380 per hour. 60 min = SGD 380 · 90 min = SGD 570.
  • Sunday & public holidays: SGD 400 per hour. 60 min = SGD 400 · 90 min = SGD 600.

Assessments

  • Adult ADHD assessment — SGD 3,500. See adult ADHD assessment for what’s included. The full assessment fee is due before the first appointment.1
  • Achievement testing follow-up (WIAT-IV) — +SGD 600–700, when clinically indicated. Recommended only when the assessment picture suggests it would meaningfully add to the formulation (e.g. a possible specific learning difficulty alongside ADHD, twice-exceptional presentation, or documentation for educational accommodations).
  • Child ADHD assessment (ages 6–12) — from SGD 3,500. Includes WIAT-IV achievement testing as standard. The fee can rise where the clinical complexity warrants it (additional differential, school observation, additional collateral). See child ADHD assessment for what’s included.
  • Teen ADHD assessment (ages 13–17) — from SGD 3,500. Includes WIAT-IV achievement testing as standard. The fee can rise where the clinical complexity warrants it (additional differential, school observation, additional collateral). See teen ADHD assessment for what’s included.
  • Report turnaround: three weeks after the final testing session. If you need it faster for a specific deadline — school placement, employer accommodation — tell me at the first consultation and I’ll tell you honestly whether I can meet it.

“From” means what it says. Assessment complexity varies. Co-occurring conditions (anxiety, learning differences, mood), multi-informant data, school observation, or integrating prior reports can raise the fee. If that’s going to happen in your case, I’ll tell you what the work is, what it will cost, and why — before I do it. No surprise line items.

Parent-coaching programmes

  • Parent–Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT): 14–20 sessions, standard rate per session.
  • Parent–Child Emotion Therapy (PCET): 8–16 sessions, standard rate per session.

Payment and cancellation

I take bank transfer (PayNow) and major credit cards. Payment is due before each session — not at the door — so we both arrive ready to use the hour for the work, not for logistics. I don’t bill insurers directly, but I’ll give you a clear receipt you can submit for reimbursement; your insurer will tell you what they’ll cover.

Cancellations with more than 24 hours’ notice are free. Inside 24 hours, I charge the full session fee. I hold the hour for you; when it’s cancelled late, I can’t fill it.

A note on insurance. Lightfull Psychology is a private practice, not a licensed medical facility, so most insurance plans in Singapore won’t cover sessions directly. International plans with outpatient mental health benefits (for example, some expat policies) often will reimburse. If cost is a live question for you, email me before you book — we can look at what’s possible.

If cost is a real barrier. I hold a small number of reduced-fee slots each quarter for families and individuals for whom private fees are genuinely out of reach. If that’s you, say so in the intake form. No explanation required beyond that.
