Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 11 June 2026

I have read a lot of terms pages that felt like they were written to win an argument later. This one is written so that you and I know where we stand, in plain language, before anything is at stake.

The short version

  • This website gives you information and a way to reach me. It is not therapy, and using it does not make you my client.
  • If you need help urgently, call 995, or the Institute of Mental Health emergency line at 6389 2222. Please do not wait on an email reply.
  • The screening tools give you information, not a diagnosis.
  • Fees, payment and the 24-hour cancellation policy live on the fees page and are part of these terms.
  • Singapore law governs these terms.

Who these terms are from

This website, lightfull-psychology.com, is run by Lightfull Psychology and Consulting Practice Pte. Ltd. (UEN 202339132R), the practice of Dr. Ong Mian Li, a clinical psychologist registered on the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP No. 2512014). When I say “I” on this page, that is me.

By using this website, booking a session, or coming to see me, you are agreeing to these terms. The clinical work itself is governed by the Informed Consent document we go through before we begin; that document and this page are designed to agree with each other.

What this website is, and what it is not

The website exists to help you understand how I work, decide whether I am the right fit, and reach me easily. The information on it is general. It is written with care and I keep it current, but a website cannot take your history, ask a follow-up question, or notice what you did not say. So nothing here is clinical advice for your specific situation, and reading it does not create a clinician-client relationship between us. That relationship begins when we have met, agreed to work together, and you have given informed consent.

If you need help urgently

This website and my inbox are not monitored around the clock. If you or someone you care about is in immediate danger, call 995 or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. For a mental health emergency, the Institute of Mental Health emergency line at 6389 2222 answers 24 hours a day. If it is heavy but not an emergency, the Samaritans of Singapore are at 1767, any hour.

The screening tools

The screeners on this site are validated self-report questionnaires that clinicians use as a starting point, and I have put them here so you can use them the same way. They are scored in your browser as you answer; your responses are not sent to me and not stored anywhere, which the privacy policy covers in full. A score is information, not a diagnosis. A high score does not mean you have a condition, and a low score does not rule one out. If a result sits uneasily with you, bring it to me or to any qualified clinician and we will look at the whole picture together. Each instrument remains the work of its authors and is credited on its page.

Booking, fees and payment

Current fees are on the fees page, including the after-hours rates for evenings, weekends and public holidays. That page is part of these terms. Payment is due before each session, by PayNow or bank transfer, so the hour itself stays free for the work. Assessment fees are due before the first assessment appointment. I do not bill insurers directly; you will get a clear, detailed receipt you can submit for reimbursement, and your insurer can tell you what they cover. Fees may change with reasonable notice, and the fees page always shows the current numbers.

Cancellations and rescheduling

A scheduled session holds that time for you alone. With more than 24 hours’ notice, cancelling or rescheduling is free. Inside 24 hours, or if you do not attend, the full session fee applies. I know a 24-hour line can land hard in a difficult week. It exists so that slots stay real, for you and for the people I could not offer the time to.

Telehealth

I see people in person at Telok Ayer and by secure video. Video sessions follow the same terms, fees and cancellation policy as in-person work. I work under my Singapore registration; if you are joining from outside Singapore, we will first confirm together that video work is appropriate and lawful where you are, and you will need local emergency contacts in place, because I cannot dispatch help across a border.

Using what I have written

The words, pages and downloadable materials on this site are copyright Lightfull Psychology and Consulting Practice Pte. Ltd. unless credited otherwise. Read them, print them, share links to them freely; that is what they are for. Please do not republish them as your own or use them commercially without asking me first. Colleagues: when you want to hand a client one of the screeners, share the page link rather than a copy, so the scoring and the context travel with it.

Links to other places

Where I link to other websites, directories or colleagues, it is because I think they are useful, not because I control them. Their content and their terms are their own.

What I cannot promise

I keep this site accurate with real care, and clinical claims on it are sourced from peer-reviewed work. Still, the site is provided as it is. Research moves, pages date, and general information cannot be fitted to your particular case. To the maximum extent Singapore law permits, I am not liable for loss arising from reliance on website content alone. None of this limits the duties I owe you once you are my client, under the Informed Consent document, my professional obligations, and the law. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to these terms

If I change these terms, the date at the top changes with them, and meaningful changes will be visible rather than buried. Continuing to use the site after a change means the current version applies.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute connected to them. That said, I would rather solve a problem than win one; if something is wrong, write to me first and I will engage with it properly.

Questions

Write to clinic@lightfull-psychology.com. These terms sit alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers your data, and the Informed Consent document, which governs the clinical work itself. The FAQ answers the practical questions people ask most.
